“Just You, Me & The Music”

I’ve been lucky to have many a great thing inspire me in my lifetime where music was concerned.  From a young age music of many genres, more importantly metal and rock, helped me feel like I fit in; like nothing else mattered.  I was one with the music and it’s been that way ever since.

From my earliest of influences, my father whom I still believe is one of the most dedicated, greatest guitarists of all time; to the music he introduced into my world that would find its way deep into my soul, my core.  From the inside to the outside influences of the world which started to tear and break me in at the seam.  Born into a culturally diverse metropolis just as diverse as its music itself the Big Apple became my first taste of sound.

Over the years came all the places in between.  From the South, Midwest, and finally the West coast, hell even across the globe.  I’ve heard so much… From the boys II men, the women in between, the oldies and the goodies… Yet there is still so much more out there to find, to absorb and to inspire.

Music… It could save me, help me scream from the top of my lungs, make me cheer, bitch slap the bully down the hall, even wipe my tears… But among all, it would never desert me.

Inside each genre there’s a special place each of us can hide.  We can remember a face, another time, its impact is great.  But through it all, the bond I’ve always felt to be shown the strongest was within my other family I call heavy metal.  The strength in the sound, the solitude, the angst in its line’s and the emotions that lie deep within, raw and authentic that’s metal at its finest.

I’ve taken so much from many great artists.  From pop to classical and those in between because within all is a creative force, a different view, spoken words fighting to mete out.  We all have our niche, our fav, what makes us stand up and shout.  It’s inside us all and it’s something that all of us share equally.  Whether a simple passion or a complex understanding of being one with the music, I know I’ll be here… A lifer, rockin and a rollin forever.

So just… Break me, shake me, take me over.

Rock ‘n’ roll me all night and every day.

I know I will hear what I’ve heard before; my heart will be blessed with the sound of music.
